Speaker applications for our new 2023 event are now open! With “Small Actions, Big Impacts” as our theme for this year, we hope to focus on how people’s efforts can promote change in their communities. In the process of creating this, our goal is to encourage the idea that change can be achieved by targeting and reaching smaller milestones. How can we take small steps to create the change we want to see in our communities? How can different ideas, ranging from scientific discoveries to personal breakthroughs, impact others? This theme is about how actions, even ordinary ones, can lead to positive outcomes. We believe these ideas can inspire youth to make their communities a more vibrant place.
We are looking for speakers from diverse backgrounds and professions to speak to youth on how they can impact their communities. We encourage you to explore unconventional topics in tandem with the theme as our goal is to share unique perspectives on the TEDx platform.
Successful TEDx speakers use the theme as a guideline for a topic in which they have expertise rather than developing their idea solely for the theme. For example, if you work in the healthcare industry, how can you connect “Small Actions, Big Impacts” to recent developments in medicine and science? For STEM, what innovations have resulted from small scientific discoveries or research? We encourage applicants to think outside the box.
Applications will be due 12/31/22 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Please note that if you are selected to speak, you will be required to come to Philadelphia PA, on May 27th, 2023 to film the event. We will not be accepting pre-recorded.
